Just got back from the game. We played terrible in the field. I lost track of the errors. First Furman run was a direct result of two straight errors on fairly routine plays. A shame we wasted a pretty good pitching effort. Hope the boys bring their gloves and their bats to the game tommorrow.

Not being able to play the mid-week game against ETSU may have hurt the team yesterday. looked like they may have been a bit rusty as far as getting runs across the plate

Dobson got the start in LF for Burris and got a 2-out single and stolen base in the 2nd. Zumbrook up with 2 out and Dobson on 2nd.

EDIT: Dobson strikes out looking to end the threat. 1-0 Apps, mid 2nd.

Really like how Billy is not afraid to change the line up around. Did it last weekend as well.

Furman has already plated 3 in the 3rd and have men on 2nd and 3rd with just 1 out. Costly error on Calloway, they'd have a man on 3rd with 2 outs if he makes the play. Not looking good.

Wilson coming in to pitch. Maybe he can get ahead in the count.
Costly walks, error, passed ball, stolen base (missing Dowdy about now too).

4-1 Furman after 3. Got one more with a sac fly before Josh Wilson got a strikeout in relief of Springs to end the inning. Bats have got to come alive here, that 4th run after an error really stings.

Furman was picked 7th by the coaches, 8th by the media.

Another single and another stolen base for Dobson to start the 5th. We cannot leave him stranded out there, we need this one.

EDIT: Zumbrook draws a walk. 1st and 2nd, no outs in the top of the 5th. 4-1 Furman.

It should be noted that Furman looks to be for real. Beat the conference favorite Elon last weekend two games to one. Elon crushed NC State this week and scored over 20 runs... I think the SoCon is going to be tough and we will definitely have to be on our toes.
