Bats have been roughly the same for the last decade, with some minor changes here and there. Umps have to inspect the bats prior to every game/series and approve it with a sticker. If a player uses a non-approved bat, even if it was approved in the last game/series, they are out.

The increase in homers is 100% the balls.

Belt standings are still crazy for teams like 4-10. A lot will happen by tomorrow. They already show Ga State winning today. Assuming that's a typo. I'm assuming that if we take the last 2 we overtake Troy even with one less conference game played? Might all be a mute point considering what Southern Miss is doing. Wow

We will have to hit better than we did last night to win two or even one game… we did hit some hard balls but right at their fielders. Alexander/Welch pitched well enough to win. I expect the next two games to be the first one to 10 runs wins. Really have to keep them around 6-7 tonight. It won’t be easy.

We're officially in the tournament now, even if we get swept. Currently #7 in the standings so we need to win and hope JMU and Texas State lose to get the top 6 seed for a bye.

I will say that the Troy PBP announcer was top-rate - he sounded like he called MLB games on the radio.
Was there any comments made as to what had happened to St.Laurent to keep him out of the line-up for so long?

Agree with 78 here - I can't imagine a scout not having interest in a pitcher in the nation's 5th best conference who has 109 Ks in 82 IP - regardless of ERA

I believe he was hurt. I can't remember what event it was- probably around end of April- either the Jamie Harris event or the hot stove Banquet in the NEZ, but he spoke at one of them and I recall a photo of him in either a leg or an arm brace. Trying to find the photo but can't track it down. Looked to be running pretty good last night, probably not seeing it great out of the hand yet but good to see him back.

Wish we had a voice to understand what's going on with injuries.

ASL, Tujestch, Brooks, Steensma...all missed periods of time. And no update on Cross when he left the Coastal game in pain.
