If I were a Major League scout, I’d love to have in my organization a top-three starting pitcher from the nation’s fifth-best conference.
Thank goodness your not a scout
Agree with 78 here - I can't imagine a scout not having interest in a pitcher in the nation's 5th best conference who has 109 Ks in 82 IP - regardless of ERA
No worries we’ll agree to disagree
And again I just said this year I did not say moving forward he won’t.

He might get drafted… after doing some research on him an and other draftable RHPs….. while he has the velocity and can maintain it, essentially a three pitch guy, and can throw them all for strikes, the aspect that he lacks is consistency for multiple seasons…. so I’d say there’s a chance he could be selected in the later rounds…. I believe with new minor league player contract they have reduced the number of rounds from 20. I think if he were to stay another season and produce similar results, he would or could be an early round selection.

You hit the nail on the head. Again, I am so glad that he’s succeeding. The problem is there’s only 20 rounds now and you can talk about slots in each round but he pitched six innings total in his first two years pitched 46 innings last year and this is the first year that he’s really coming into his own. If there were 60 rounds again, like they used to be, I have no doubt that he would get drafted. He has some things he has to continue to work on but he’s making great strides. Not sure what he’s done in summer ball, but this year will be very crucial in the summer wooden bat leagues. But again I’m just an armchair that’s been out of it a long time that’s just my personal opinion.

Troy’s facilities are top notch, as are their ESPN+ announcers. I closed my eyes and thought I was listening to Tim Brando calling the Final 4. Unbelievable soothing voice. We’ve got some work to do, but we’ve come a long way in the past 2-3 years!

Wonder what our splits are V lefty starting pitching. We have 6-7 lefty bats in the lineup, might be in for a long night for our lefties

Chrico with a heck of a start. Unfortunate timing 2 run bomb as soon as he leaves.
2-2 B6.
Edit: Sorry, I blinked. 3-2 Troy B6…ugh. Another one in our grasp. Onto the T7, have to score and manufacture runs.

This team has done well all things considered but there is no way they last long in the post season with a pitching ERA close to 8. You simply can't just serve up fast balls down the middle of the plate.

LaSpaluto gets out of a 7th inning walk, 3 fly outs to center.
T8 5-3 Apps. This is fun! But nerve-racking. Let’s steal one.

LaSpaluto got in trouble 2 on 2 out in the 8th. Brought in Brooks over Steensma for some reason. Walks next 2 batters and in a run. 5-4 App. Bases juiced 2 outs B8.

Walk Walk 2 rbi single. Ouch. Should have gone Steensma coach, he’s the closer. 6-5 Troy.
Now he brings in Steensma. I don’t get it. Been a handful of games they’ve not gone to the right guy in these situations.

Throwing a ball in the zone on an 0-2 count, especially after a long foul the previous pitch, was a recipe for disaster.

Laspo should have never started the inning and Brooks should have never came in. Doesn’t make sense.
