You can say that again. Two tough SBC series to start out with in TxSt and Coastal. SBC is strong again this year. I’m routinely seeing these teams, and others, knocking off ranked P5 squads.

If we can just stay afloat! Bats have to come alive and our 3 starters have to be pretty dang good every night.QueencityApp wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 7:51 amYou can say that again. Sitting at 78 RPI right now. We’ve got 6 good winnable midweeks left and Wake.
Along with the difficult conference slate. A major opportunity to win some difficult games and climb in the RPI. No doubt in my mind we will be in every game as our guys and Kermit continue to COMPETE!

While Texas State is 8-8 and have lost like 5 of their last 6, the SOS is 115 with 5 Quad 1 opponents. Our SOS is 227 with only one Quad 1 game and we know how that turned out. Their opponents are a combined 126-106 vs. ours at 88-104. This weekend should give us a good idea of where we stand.

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
Wonder if that is related to pitching? Do they have one good pitcher...so they can do well in one game...but struggle in a series as remaining arms are not the best.
Just curious as I do not know.

Coastal smoked Wake.hapapp wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 9:38 amWhile Texas State is 8-8 and have lost like 5 of their last 6, the SOS is 115 with 5 Quad 1 opponents. UNCG smoked NC State
Rider beat Duke.
Shoot, UCLA is 5-10!!
Midweeks are crazy this year and a ton of upsets. Georgia is 17-1 and their 1 loss is to Michigan State (not a baseball power).
LSU lost to Stoney Brook.
The good thing is that we will have plenty of chances to climb in SOS and RPI due to the conference being legit. Just cant slip on our winnable midweek games and need to win more than we lose in conference. If we can do that, we've got a shot at postseason. It's very early, but as of now, we are in a good spot. Be a different story if we were 7-8 heading into Conf. play. And we are getting healthy.

Are dogs allowed at home baseball games?
Sure, I've brought my mother in law numerous times.

Wind is blowing out hard to Left Center. Wilson had to keep the ball in the yard tonight. I’m feeling some bombs from our power 3.

Bummer. Wasted a great start from Wilson. Had 2 on at the end with 2 outs. Lost 3-2.

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
Guys battled hard. Tough luck with Wilson having to come out after warming up in the 7th. Little clearly wasn't ready to go when he came in. I hope Wilson is ok.
When will "It's better than what we had" no longer be good enough for App State?

Yea, hit the ball hard the two batters before Tolley, either of those could have been extra base hit. We'll need good pitching tomorrow. I think our hitting will be fine.

Bummer to drop that close one we had a chance in. Here's results from around the league as well.
