Looks like Billy Jones is putting the Apps in a number of tournaments next season.
The team ventures into the Volunteer state with a game in Knoxville on Tuesday, February 18th. Then it's on to Nashville for the weekend (Friday, February 21st though Sunday, February 23rd) for the Belmont Tournament with Miami (OH), Indiana State and the host Bruins.
EDIT: The Belmont tournament is actually the Mule Mix Classic, co-hosted by Belmont, Lipscomb and MTSU. Those three host three "outsiders" that Fri/Sat/Sun, which are App St, Miami OH, Indiana St. App will play at MTSU on Friday, Lipscomb on Saturday and Belmont on Sunday. Murfreesboro, home on MTSU, is 40 miles outside Nashville, where Belmont and Lipscomb are 3 miles apart.
The following weekend (Friday, February 28th thought Sunday, March 2nd) has the team taking place in a big-time tournament. Notre Dame is hosting the Irish Baseball Classic in Cary at the USA Baseball National Training Complex. The teams in the classic are Michigan, NC State and defending National Champions UCLA plus two others.
The final tournament is down at Patriots Point for the CofC Tournament on Friday, March 14 though Saturday, March 16 with Michigan (yes, two neutral-site games with the Wolverines), Kent State and the host Cougars.
