Apps lose another one run game to South Carolina, 2-1.

Great effort but another tough one to swallow. The one run came off a Jaylin Davis 2 out single. Springs was sharp in his 5 innings of work giving up only one run.

Billy "one batter to late" Jones struck again tonight. He left Thurber in for a third inning for the umpteenth time this year and then in a even more surprising move he brought in Friday starter Jamie Nunn to pitch with a runner on 2nd and one out. If he was even considering bringing in Nunn, he should have done so at the beginning of the inning not after a runner was on. Jones also pitched to All-American Grayson Greiner with a runner on 2nd and first base open in the 9th. Greiner is hitting a cool .500 with runners in scoring position this year, including a walk-off grand slam vs the Vols Saturday.

Very perplexing situation but they are continuing to improve, hopefully we can get a few wins in these tight ball games.
