I was thinking the same thing but afraid to say it.hapapp wrote:Not to get ahead of ourselves (not a good idea this season) but if we can win this series next weekend we host last place the Citadel. We could put ourselves in the thick of things in the conference race.
Odd how they were also finally used appropriately, and they produced. Hopefully Jones took note. Thurber no more than 2 innings and preferable if he can start the inning. Same with Whaley. If he is our true closer, give him the full 9th.JTApps1 wrote:The bullpen finally threw 3 scoreless innings. If they could produce like that more often we will be tough to beat. Looking for another good outing by Moore tomorrow.
I do believe any coach could say exactly that - any team who can shut down the opponents in the final 3 innings on a regular basis will more than likely have a very successful season ---JTApps1 wrote:The bullpen finally threw 3 scoreless innings. Im just saying that the rest of the team has come together, and if the bullpen can do the same we will be a strong contender in the SoCon. It's looking like the Davidson series at home is going to be huge now. IF we take care of business this weekend and next.WVAPPeer wrote:I do believe any coach could say exactly that - any team who can shut down the opponents in the final 3 innings on a regular basis will more than likely have a very successful season ---JTApps1 wrote:The bullpen finally threw 3 scoreless innings. In my humble opinion, the rest of the team has been there all year. Hence the 11 one run or tied/leading in the 8th or later losses. This has been the root of my frustration with bullpen management with our coaching staff. This isnt a one year blip, we had 10 such losses last year.JTApps1 wrote:Im just saying that the rest of the team has come together, and if the bullpen can do the same we will be a strong contender in the SoCon. Well the team was hitting .205. So I'd say hitting is just now coming around tooAppDawg wrote:In my humble opinion, the rest of the team has been there all year.
