ELON Series

Game 1: http://www.appstatesports.com/ViewArtic ... =209472709

From the article...Appalachian starter Jamie Nunn was pulled after walking the first batter in the eighth inning and was replaced by Dallas DeVrieze.

Four of DeVrieze’s first five pitches were hit for a single, a three-run home run and an RBI double. After striking out one batter, Elon (24-14, 10-6 SoCon) was able to capitalize on another RBI double to take a 6-2 lead going into the ninth inning.

...Says it all!

Edit: Apps win 10-4!! Moore must have the arm of Gumby or something. Threw a complete game at 137 pitches

From WD:

"Moore, the former Watauga pitching standout tossed a complete game in Appalachian State's 10-4 victory over Elon Friday at Latham Park. Moore struck out seven Phoenix batters and allowed just three earned runs in helping the Mountaineers (14-22, 8-5 SoCon) even the series with Elon 1-1.

Moore scattered 11 hits, but walked just one batter. He improved to 8-2 this season, and his ERA is 3.08."
