like everything else, competition level will increase but I think baseball moreso. ULL was ranked #1 at one point last year

The SBC ranked two spots higher in RPI last year and historically is five or more spots higher. And that's before the SoCon lost 4 of its top 7 programs. I think we'll be a better team this year especially if we can improve in the pen. We should be near a top 100 RPI team.

Our part-time baseball S&C Coach just got hired by the Minnesota Twins, so if that's any indication, we're gonna clear some fences this year.

Jaylin Davis and Dillon Dobson had monster summers so they'll be the most hyped players.

Grayson Atwood, transfer from Chapel Hill, is eligible this year and is definitely one to watch out for.

It'll be interesting to see how Jamie Nunn comes back from his injuries. He missed the last part of last year and all of summer ball recovering.

And the team's new hats are HIDEOUS.

My initial impressions is that we have the pieces to make some noise, but it all comes down to how the players respond on the field. We were devastated by seniority and the draft in 2012 and 2013, but weren't touched as bad last year. Most this team is Coach Jones' players and he's in his third year. 30 wins would be a solid year, especially with the jump in competition. The schedule isn't a brutal as last year, so that should help.

I wouldn't put too much stock in the Twins hiring. Kareem spent a whole summer with the Oakland Raiders during his time at app, and we all see how that benefited the football program.

Before anything, we have to pitch. The pitching strategy for the first weekend will be something to keep an eye on.
