Vs. Ga. State
Game 1= (from appstatesports.com) Appalachian State University baseball surrendered three unearned runs, including what turned out to be the game-winner in the top of the 12th inning, in a 4-3 loss to first-place Georgia State on Friday evening

Re: Vs. Ga. State
They put up a good fight, just couldn't get that knock out punch. Pitching was fine, it was defense/errors that killed any hope. Of late the errors are way too high. Need to avoid a sweep this weekend. After the hard fought game yesterday, need to take a least one.

Today is Spring Open House. There's tons of stuff going on today, but nothing about baseball and softball series according to the Open House info. They'd rather people go shopping on King Street.

Gillen has to come to understand that and find ways to change some ways of thinking. He may have to twist some arms in Chancellor's Cabinet meetings and Faculty Senate meetings. He also needs a couple of active "plants" in the Student Services group.T-Dog wrote:Today is Spring Open House. One has to wonder if this team has any confidence once the game progresses past the 6th inning.

If they do, they are delusional.

I think that's number 29, but I've lost count.hapapp wrote:No team in history could be as inept in the late innings as this App team.

Yep, it's #29.
Don't expect a game tomorrow. Forecast is 100% rain all day, Flood Watch all day. Makes you wonder why they didn't just play two on Saturday, when you knew well in advance Sunday likely isn't happening.

I'd say email him on this issue. When I talked with him last week he seemed like the type of person who would "listen" to those type ideas.asu66 wrote:Gillen has to come to understand that and find ways to change some ways of thinking.
