Per Twitter, RHP Robert Whaley (6-2, 210) of Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory has committed to App. Whaley, who will be a sophomore at CVCC this season, was an all-region selection last year for a team that went to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II World Series. He is an alumnus of Hickory High School.
