It is a mindset!

Welcome Kermit! Getting things started right. This is the fire and determination we have been missing. I am pumped just watching this!

Very rare to see baseball workout with this much intensity. This is a good sign.

Not gonna have the best, fastest or strongest team in the Sun Belt, but we can outwork them.

It is unreal expectations that we will win the conference in all sports but we should not suck ass at any and should not lose or tie (soccer and field hockey) to lesser programs. No reason baseball can't regularly at least be in the top half of the SB with 30+ wins per season. Nice start coach!

This is the first time in years that I have been excited about the product that we might put on the field next spring. Like others have said, what we lack in ability we can more than make up in intensity and fight. Work hard young men and make us proud ! Go App !

I'm more and more excited to have Kermit as our HC with each day. The culture change on this team is job #1 and it looks like he will take care of that quickly. The best thing is it looks like the players were buying in despite how tough the workout was.
When will "It's better than what we had" no longer be good enough for App State?

Holy crap I want to play for this guy!! The culture is not going to completely change after 1 workout but this was a heck of a start. Love seeing the players buy in and push each other and their bodies to new heights. First time in as long as I can remember that I'm actually excited to go up the mountain this spring to watch some baseball. Can't wait to see the product that this culture creates.

@JTApps 1 - I think the answer to your tag line, at least for the baseball program, is "now". Very obvious that "better than what we had" will not be good enough for Kermit and staff.

App fans are going to love Kermit and Britt. Been watching them for years. Both have really good eyes for talent, a good feel for helping individuals, and little tolerance for slackers. Good, good people.

I spoke with a member of the App squad that nearly won the regional a few years ago, who also played for Kermit at Belmont Abbey. He was very excited to have Kermit at Boone. He stated that one thing that the new staff would do is get the former players involved in supporting the program, something that seemed to be lacking the past few seasons.
