Yeah, you got that right! ASU - RPI 326! [RPI is meaningless until January play; but that 300+ number is ugly any time.]

Charlotte comes to town with Houston Fancher on the bench and almost zero results from a relatively strong early schedule. [No correlation implied.] The 49ers and the Apps have had only one common opponent--Furman. The 49ers won by nine (9) at Halton. The Apps lost by nine (9) at HCC. Ouch!

Most embarrassing losses, you ask?

Charlotte by 35 to Davidson at home
ASU by 28 to Tulane in NO

Two teams going nowhere anytime soon. U pick!

On a more positive note, our guys have played everyone close since the train wreck at Tulane.+ And Fox is likely to have access to a great scouting report on UNCC! + ;)

6-1 junior guard Braxton Ogbueze, a UFlorida transfer, has 17 of the '9ers points. He's perfect so far.

36-30 bad guys. Ogbueze still perfect... now at 20 pts. 3:58 to play. '9ers out-rebounding Apps by 10.

40 -33 at the half. UNCC owns the boards...and is shooting 52% from the field and 75% from 3-pt. range.

Fox needs a miracle--like better play from his team.

PS. What has happened to this site? Haven't been here in a while and it used to function at a reasonable level. Now it's a laggy, poorly functioning ad ridden mess.
