Re: SB and CUSA basketball scheduling system
This has a very slim chance of working. I love how the Sun Belt voted 11-1, but would not comment on the dissenting school.
I still stand on my comments that were made when this format was released by the Sun Belt.

Re: SB and CUSA basketball scheduling system
I think the key complimentary piece that needs to go along with this scheduling system is a scheduling Alliance between mid major conferences. Each school needs to hold two non-conference slots for MidMajor Alliance games (one home and one away) The conferences then need to act like networks and deliberately create match-ups, based on expectations for the upcoming season not history, that will benefit the winners in SoS, RPI and Q wins. Clearly, the politicking for the best Alliance games will be intense but that is the opportunity and the challenge. This type of cross pollination will also bring better value to the the late season match-ups and create a counter talking point to the pundits who deride the multiple games against the same team (potentially 4 games through the conference tournament.) Remember, those pundits work for TV networks that have major contracts with P5 and are better served by their flagship conferences dominating the tournament.
