This could be a tough one, fans, as UA-Little Rock's in town to take on our Apps. The Trojans (12-7 overall, 6-2 SBC) are presently in a three-way tie for the Sun Belt lead with both Ga State and Ga Sou. They'll play the last game of their "eastern swing" today after celebrating a 71-55 blowout of Coastal Carolina in Conway on Thursday. In that contest, the Trojan shot 51% from the floor and had three players contribute double-double performances.

Little Rock Coach Darrell Bennett, in his second season at UALR, has built his roster much like the NBA teams he played for and has coached over some 20 years. His starting lineup will go 6-1, 6-5, 6-7, 6-7 and 6-10. At the drop of the proverbial hat, he can sub in 6-1, 6-6, 6-7, 6-8, 6-10, 6-10 or 7-0 guys who can play. One guy even bears the given name for his trade; he's 6-11 260 RSr Sam Dunkum. One can rather easily assume that we're in for a physical contest today. The Apps have their hands-full in this one.

Little Rock’s defense held Coastal Carolina to a season-low 55
points and 31.5% shooting Thursday. The Trojans are third in the
Sun Belt in scoring defense at 66.3 points per game and have
held 15 of their 19 opponents under their season scoring average.
If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

I’ll repost...29/36 from the stripe against ArkSt. Just missed 6 in a row. UALR is y’all. No one under 6’7 on the floor

We rush the ball up the court when its not there and result in too many turnovers.

Can someone coach us to get the ball in on an inbounds play?

Too many missed layups and our D hasn’t been as crisp as during the beginning of the season

It’s pretty clear that LR is the best team in the league right now, along with Ga State. It’s difficult for any sun belt team to deal with all of LR’s size. They’ve gone from cellar dweller to best team in the league under Chris Beard for a year, back to cellar dweller, and then best team in the league in Walker’s second year.

That ineptness has been around s-e-v-e-r-a-l years; so many I've lost count.

Little Rock is just bigger and better. It looks like they have more scholarship players on the roster.
GIVE 'EM HELL APPS!

GA State lost to Troy today. Very impressed with LR.

Year 1 of Coach K. The team is playing much better. Whole different vibe to the program. Don’t despair yet!

This is definitely a rebuild process that will take a few seasons to play out. Hopefully no one snags him in the process.
