Of course. Seem slow to adapt , my opinion.

I was checking out the Sanford Mall webcam and not one person is slack-lining.

Will we break the curse of beating an inferior opponent the day the football team is recognized at halftime?

I was thinking the very same thing. I'll never forget when the bball team was riding high and we had our NC team signing autographs, and then we laid an egg.

I know that you can get tickets for 15 bucks to basketball games but I am asking you how much it costs you to park, buy food, and everything this year? I don't care if tickets are 15 bucks I just don't think we should be charging a convenience fee at all. Regardless of the cost, the fact they would charge a convenience fee, no matter how small or large, is just dumb and will deter some people. With inflation and gas every dollar counts and we should be making it as easy as possible to go to any games.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 4:04 pmSo, you have football in mind to improve attendance....like we need that....or your commenting on bball and have not been to a game and no idea of the actual price. .okayAppStFan1 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 3:49 pmI had football in mind as well but I know we sellout so we can bump up prices. When it comes to basketball how much are say 3 tickets including fees, parking, and a drink and food for a family of 3 or 4?BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 3:33 pmTickets for basketball are cheap...no matter the upchargeAppStFan1 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 2:07 pmNot at all but charging a fee to buy online when it is cold as a convenience charge is crazy. I like the idea of having a QR code to scan so they don't need a labor fee. Buying tickets should be convenient without massive fees if we want to improve attendance. If we are selling out each night then sure go up on tickets but a good seat should be moderately priced and easy to get when we are nowhere near a sellout.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 1:12 pm
So, if they just charge you $75 versus various line items...make you feel better..
One reason I was thinking football and including it is that I am getting tired of hearing about NIL on 247 and even here when we are told we need more money in that area but they are nickel and diming us in other sports and football.

Absolutely have to win these type of games if we want to accomplish something big time. Losing games like this would just diminish beating Auburn. We need a strong resume for postseason chances in case we lose in the SBC tourney. I don't care about the margin so much like some might but we definitely have to win home games like this if we want to be taken seriously. We are also in a must win now mode because I am sure major programs are going to be coming for some of our players and Kerns when this year is over.

If that is the reason someone uses for not going to a game....they were not really intending to go to the game in the first place.
Parking is cheap (or free) if one is smart....food is what it is for basketball just like football... rationalize it in your head all you want for not attending a bball game.. it is an elective decision for you or anyone else to attend or not attend...but, putting a convenience fee as a reason why is illogical.

Yeah, the powers that be definitely read "The Cabin". Usually after I make my annual complaint about no 90's grunge music at the football game (i.e. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Nirvana) they come through the next game with one token grunge song.

It's not illogical at all. Why would I pay a $10 fee for purchasing my tickets online vs. at the box office? It makes no sense.

I am saying that people will avoid the fee best they can but why not remove the fee so you can do whatever is easier on you instead of what is cheaper. I prefer to buy them at the box office anyway but there are many who like to buy online. Boone is expensive already so why not remove fees to make our athletics events as cheap as possible. Our basketball games should be as cheap and easy to get into as possible. Until we fill the arena every night they got no leverage to upcharge people.dtrain4prez wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 3:58 pmAppStFan1 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 12:51 pmI know that you can get tickets for 15 bucks to basketball games but I am asking you how much it costs you to park, buy food, and everything this year?
