One more in play. Not going to be an easy get , but a difference maker if we can land him.

After watching some of Ted Neal’s highlights I think he has potential to develop into a really good sun belt player. His athleticism and game reminds me some of Kendall Lewis.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 12:44 pm3 freshmen are:
SG McKinnon
PG Brim
F Neal
Transfers we have:
CG Kasen Jennings
CG Eren Banks
PF Chad Moodie
PG KJ Vasser
Is there speculation on adding or losing anyone else?
I think we have some solid potential with what we have. Excited about Banks, and I think Jacari Brim is gonna be a baddie

Anyway, I like portal adds...3 from Atlanta. And the portal adds all have experience but also have years of eligibility left, not just 1 and dones.
Excited to see how Moodie pairs with Wilson/Marcus Jr and where Njock slots in.
Plenty of capable guards on the roster, if Vasser's game translates to D1 we should be in good shape on paper.
I'll take a stab at a starting 5.
PG- Vasser
SG- Banks
SF- Njock (if he's not ready, maybe Jennings)
PF- Moodie
C- Wilson
My guess is the most experienced 5 get the first shot, although the lineup will likely shift.
Dodd - Vasser/Brim backup
Jennings - Clarke/McKinnon backup
Banks - Njock backup
Moodie - Neal backup
Wilson - Marcus backup
The new transfer guards look strong and can defend and shoot. Njock looks like a hybrid player on film who can play on the perimeter and around the basket. He also looked taller in person to me than the height he’s listed at. It will be interesting who we bring in as the 13th scholarship player.

Hoping Njock rehabs successfully and performs up to his potential.
Heaven knows we’ll need it next season.

Are you able to say if a transfer, juco or high school target?

Banks, Jennings and Tot can all shoot and drive to the basket. Looks like we have multiple options to prevent 4 minute scoring droughts.

Vasser led the nation (94.3%) at the charity stripe in the juco ranks this year and was 93-101 for his career. He will be a welcome addition.

Looks like we are done. Hopefully everyone shows up in the fall. We missed a few transfers that we were simply outbid on. D1 starters who like our program but chased the dollar. No judgement. Interestingly, I’m told that Kerns raised the money to pay the guys in 24/25 . The athletic department has committed to contributing to the payroll this season . And let’s not call it NIL , because it’s not . It’s pay for play.

I wonder if Frank Young will be replaced or if Kerns will just keep fewer assistants and pay them more? Or can the vacant coach’s salary go towards NIL?Stonewall wrote: ↑Tue May 20, 2025 6:20 amLooks like we are done. Hopefully everyone shows up in the fall. We aren’t in the NIL business. It’s pay for play. We are paying players so I suppose we could go either of the routes you mentioned.
