Carolina University out of Winston. Had to look them up. Did a double take myself when looking at that schedule release image.

Re: 25-26 Full Schedule
The UNC Asheville game in the downtown arena (former Civic Center) is on the Sunday following the home Arkansas State game, Thanksgiving weekend.
The Sun Belt has been pushing for more non-conference home games, as that's the easiest way to elevate the rankings metrics.
Wish we could replace one of the non-D1s with ETSU or someone local, but overall I've seen way worse.

Re: 25-26 Full Schedule
The email said the Harrahs Casino Arena. Is that the same place? If it’s not tied to the casino then that’s disappointing.T-Dog wrote: ↑Tue Aug 26, 2025 12:21 pmThe UNC Asheville game in the downtown arena (former Civic Center) is on the Sunday following the home Arkansas State game, Thanksgiving weekend.

Re: 25-26 Full Schedule
The Harrah's Cherokee Center is the former Asheville Civic Center. Yes, it's confusing.

Thanks. Was getting ready to get reservations and hit the tables prior to the game.

Re: 25-26 Full Schedule
Based in Winston-Salem nearish to Old Salem I think. I have driven by their campus a few times when in that part of town, which is not all that often.
I think they used to be Piedmont Bible College and decided to branch out and a few years ago renamed themselves to Carolina University. There was a John Welsey College or University in High Point that went under and merged in this school a few years ago and that may have happened before the name change to Carolina University. There have been some other mergers along the way. About 800-900 students. It is a bit bigger than Greensboro College.
The school was going to purchase the campus of HanesBrands on the north side of W-S but it seems the Greensboro paper reported a few months ago that deal fell apart. I am not sure if they are losing students or the financing changed. I think a former leader may have been thinking too big and when he stepped away the plan fell apart. I think a nearby church was going to put what would be their old campus if they moved and maybe the church had to back out and then the deal fell apart.
I am sure that is about 3 paragraphs more than you wanted to know about this school. They are members of NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Assoc.) and also are an NAIA school as a member of CAC which is a conference for schools without a conference affiliation.
We will be able to say without being untruthful we beat "Carolina in basketball" and if pressed we can qualify it with "The University, there is only one."
This is my very generic signature added to each post.
