Kerns is the winningest coach in app St history in the modern era for a coach that has been at App. St for 5+ years.
He is not necessarily the problem. App. St. is not and has not been a basketball powerhouse... ever...
Yes, App should not be losing to elon by this much. However, it is one game. We shall see how the season plays out. The Sun Belt is one of the weaker mid major conferences.

Kerns took a team that had literally no winning seasons for a decade and immediately started winning. Has not had a losing season ...it does suck that we can't seem to shoot or hit free throws...but it's hard to complain about this coach

I’m not a “fire Kerns” guy because I think he’s done a great job rebuilding the program after it was out to lunch for a decade, but I can see that where we’re at is probably his ceiling. Maybe, occasionally he’ll have a season like 2021 but 4th place in the SBC is who he is as a coach. We have to decide if we’re ok with that or if we want more.

Unfortunately, most of the old hats will say things like, "I remember how bad it used to be...this is better than it was" or "who could we get that's better?"

We’re in a basketball rich state with good student support (sometimes GREAT student support) and poor community support (as evidenced by the plethora of empty sideline seats at every home game). We also have to ask ourselves, would we trust Doug Gillin to get the next hire right? A few years ago I would’ve said “absolutely” but now I’m not as convinced.

I blame myself, I can typically only make 2-3 basketball games each season and my track record is pretty bad. I haven't seen us lose like that at home since the Elon game where we recognized the FCS championship team in 2008.

I'm probably one game away from being banned at the Holmes.

Not to make it about nil, it was mentioned that we have about $400K.
Someone mentioned uncc at like $2.0 million. That seemed high. But, if other schools even at a million, that is tough to compete if we at $400k
Do we have any idea what the EasyU, uncw, Elon, uncc, Davidson, high point.. of the world are paying.
NC is basketball rich typically, however, it is tough for coaching staff is we cannot buy the talent.
