IF , a big if and I have only one person’s view point, we will contact agents who represent those coaches but given the other options they will have I don’t see it. We just don’t prioritize basketball. Not yet anyway. A more likely scenario is a proven winner at a lower level , based again on one conversation.

Not a good in game adjustment coach or great defensive coach. With our limited resources, we need someone to do more with less. He is not that guy. IMHO.

I remember his first game at App. Varsity Gym. Friday night before a football game. 1996 I think.

He was a freshman 96-97, so that sounds right. 2000 was the year they went to tournament and he was a senior that season.

I think despite how it turns my stomach having a famous hole with actual pedigree and dadgum Roy showing his stupid face around would shake some money loose.

And beating southern miss and coastal is a little different than Louisville and Duke

You are exactly right. We have to let him. The program itself has no leverage because Kerns has turned it from a complete afterthought to a conference contender.

Has Kerns shown enough that he can take an established brand to a higher level? I don’t know and that’s what programs like CofC will have to determine if hiring him away from App. He has certainly shown he can build something from nothing.

May be able to do so. UNCW graduated a boat load of talent this year. They may struggle in 26/27. It will depend on what they can get in the transfer portal.
