Clarification...I didn't intend for my comment about "a ten guard roster" to be a negative criticism of Coach Fox.
I didn't mean for it to sound critical, just it is what it is. They all seem to be quality guys, but you have to have some bigs somewhere. I'm sure he'll find some, but I don't see much next season. At least so far and I'm not sure how many schollies we'll have next year. Still, better to save a scholly than reach on a big. But I am far from a basketball expert.

Gilbert could get plenty of PT at a D2 or MEAC type school. He's shown, well one game last season anyway against lower competition, that he can put up some numbers against the right team and he is a very good shot-blocker when he's had some PT. I'm not saying he's a great player that we're not playing or missing on, but I see how it could sound that way. Same with Kobani. But again, only so many minutes in a game.

Is John still with NY Life insurance?

Yep, John is still with NY LIfe; and he's also the head basketball coach at his ol' high school stompin' grounds, South Meck. Busy guy!

Well, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

:D Ain't that the truth! Coach Maravich used to talk about kids with basketball genes! I hope someone has put this info about Ali Fitch in Angel Elderkin's ear. Ali is a 2016 prospect.
