Not that it matters anymore but wasn't that a foul on Moore at the very end of the first half?

That no call changed the tenor of the entire game.

Felt like there would be some rust. Happy ending. Love our radio guy, does a great job. Sounds a lot like Jerry Seinfeld. Thank you WKBC 97.3, forever grateful.

Every single player in this group is special to me because they’ve all contributed huge moments to this magical season but I agree with someone else. Tate killed us late. Numerous turnovers and simply could not stay on Moore. Can’t really fault him for that, Moore was the best player on the floor and that’s a tough assignment. But we shut him down in OT when we stuck X on him.

When looking at the stats, it’s crazy we found a way today. We only made two three pointers, they had a guy go for 40, and just one of those where it FELT like every loose ball and bounce fell to them. Just find a way.

A lot of players say in these tournament formats the first one is the toughest. And as T Dog pointed out on Twitter it’s wild that the last three Sun Belt regular season champions were 0-3 in Pensacola. Were the first regular season champion to win a game there. Which is testament to how difficult every game is at this point.

We have to play better going forwards but the players and coaches understand that. I’m going to pour myself a drink now and try not t start getting nervous about tomorrow yet.

Donovan is one cool customer and led this team when it counted. Moore is a darn assassin but he did not have the kill shot today. It’s been said but it’s so true, survive and advance baby!

So…is it safe to say we’ve settled the FT debate once and for all?

We just don't shoot the 3 ball well enough to make any type of tournament run, but it'd be nice to win the Belt and at least represent well in the big dance
Our two-point game and defense have carried us this far. It would help us to make more threes, but there are many ways to win a basketball game.

We escaped the Pensacola quarterfinal curse.

No High Point fan but they fell in their quarters today by 1 in OT on the home court to Longwood.

We have an average 3 point % in the Sun Belt. We're 2.5% below the top team which translates to 1.5 points per game. I don't think that's going to break us with all the other strengths we have. No team excels in every category / statistic.

Actually in year 1 in Pensacola, there were two #ones as the Belt was divisional. We #1W Texas State in the quarterfinals and then beat #1E GA St in the finals. Though Texas State had the best overall conference record. So, you could say the team with best record has lost in the quarters in the previous three years.

I'm pretty sure that nobody ever said that free throws don't matter. Silly debate. Some of us simply tried to say that missing a few can be overcome with other aspects. We haven't really had a bad FT game in weeks. I think it's not really a team issue anymore.

Xavion’s put back slam was the play of the game and the final turning point. But yes , we survived, it was ugly but we advance. Best App crowd I’ve seen here as it should be but frankly I thought we would do better. The team has earned it.

There's a reason the regular season winner in many one bid conferences fails to win their conference tournament. The pressure is immense given what the regular season champ has accomplished. Knowing they can't afford a slip up puts the pressure squarely on the top seed. Perhaps this won't affect our guys but we kid ourselves if we think they won't feel the pressure.
Any time you're talking about picking one team versus the field, you're almost always better off picking the field. Maybe it has something to do with pressure, or maybe that's just a fun narrative.
