Anytime App beats Georgia Southern it’s a good day. Still a lot of parallel play on offense, but those guys play with a ton of heart, and a 3-1 SBC record would’ve been 0-4 last year, so you can’t be anything but happy with this improvement. Well done.

So that "hero ball" non sense I keep reading about with Forrest. I guess it's nice to have one guy on the roster who is comfortable in those moments.

Yes I know he has at times played a tad selfish (still adamant he is adjusting to Kerns). But he is far and away the best perimeter player on this team.

Forrest was 1-9 from 3pt range before that shot...wow. Shooters shoot.

Yup, I'm not sure who else on the team should be carrying the load on offense. Johnson has been fantastic this year and I think he should get more involved (he clearly wasn't at full speed today) but he isn't quite a perimeter playmaker. Williams gets too rushed at times and forces passes and shots he shouldn't. Kendell is still adjusting to the college game, I do see him as being the lead dog sooner than later. Seacat seems to have an aversion to scoring. James Lewis is a really good energy guy and slasher. Gregory like Kendell is still figuring things out but you can tell right now his calling card is Defense. Delph is fun in the open floor but he too seems to get rushed in the half court sets. Bibby is a nice change of pace to Williams but is not a number one scoring option. I personally love ball movement and am a proponent of rhythm shooting vice one on one. But the fact is we don't have the talent on the court right now to have the offense Kerns wants to run so Forrest is going to have to shoot, and shoot a lot. He is a better shooter than his percentages this year would indicate and I believe they will correct closer to the norm the further we get into the conference slate.

All that said, Hell of a performance by this squad. They just don't quit and I LOVE THAT! I feel a snowball effect coming for this team. Oh and can we lock Kerns away and take his phone so we don't loose him after the season, this guy is the real deal!

Great start to conference play. Long way to go, but for once instead of digging out of a hole we’re well positioned to battle for one of the top spots in the league.
