Defense has stepped up. Offense is rough. Need to try grabbing some more boards and hopefully some of these threes can fall lol 2/14, oof

Offensively out of sync. Defense deserves props.

They’ve done what no one else has done and that’s beat us twice. The road is a challenge...not the start we needed. Hopefully, we get a similar result from the 1st weekend.

Can't show up unfocused and lazy and expect to win regardless of your opponent, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and shame on me.

Did we ever lead? Just didn’t look good in any facet. Hitting free throws down the stretch would have given us a chance even though we were ice cold from the field. Big loss. Very disappointing.

We did not, got it to 1 possession several times, just could not make a play. Shot awful, played good D, the ball seemed to go to troy on every loose ball. Not our night, sux, great opp to pad our lead.

While I agree with you that we didn’t catch any bounces, we have to win these games. Troy was a 6 win team walking into tonight. If this were App football and we laid an egg versus a last place conference team, we wouldn’t be on here saying “not our night”.
Sorry, I’m not picking on you even though it sounds like it. Purely unintentional. Just got me thinking.
We haven’t been a “top 25 mid major” since 2010 for a reason. We’ve gotta be more consistent to keep the fanbase engaged.

Of course, this 6 win team has beaten us two out of the three times we have played. Also, the football comparison is not really fair. Upsets in basketball occur much more often than in football. That said, I agree with your final conclusion.ah59396 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 9:39 pmWhile I agree with you that we didn’t catch any bounces, we have to win these games. One poor game doesn't define a season and, hopefully, this is just a bump in the road. I guess we will see whether our record to date was a product of a favorable home schedule as we play 6 of our last 9 on the road.
