Agree with a lot of the thoughts here. We will do better in conference, but we won’t be great.

We are in love with the three ball, but we can’t shoot. And who knows what the situation is with the guys who came back. I’m sure it’s hard to manage expectations on playing time.

If it’s me I start to move towards the future just a bit. I’d consider going just a little bit bigger and playing Duhart, Lewis and Huntley together. All three all big, athletic and have some touch.

Focus on great defense and rebounding and an inside game. At least experiment some. Try something else!
I get what you’re saying, but with that lineup we might only score 20 points per game. Those guys just don’t seem to be aggressive enough yet. 2 of the best rebounders on the team are Delph and Gregory at 6’3” and 6’5” largely because they aren’t scared to mix it up and play aggressive. Last year, sometimes Almonacy was one of the better rebounders because he has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. It appears that Kerns prefers to recruit guards and tall finesse/perimeter-ish players. James Lewis is our only true post player and he was brought in by the previous staff. Hopefully Justin Abson, the 6’9” recruit coming in next year has the skills/strength to compete in the post.

Coach Kerns and staff have been a refreshing change to App bball culture, but it is somewhat concerning that the only productive offensive player they’ve brought in is Almonacy. Every other significant contributor was recruited by the previous regime. However, player development is obviously a strength as evidenced by the massive improvement of Delph, and noticeable improvement of Gregory, Lewis, etc under this staff. Zocko Littleton looks like a a guy who could run the show from day one next year with his skills and versatility. I look forward to seeing him in black and gold.
