I think we should put even more decisions in his hands. Hell maybe we should make him the new head magoo what be in charge of the whole darn school.
Not to defend CC but Moore was at the end of his contract and Capel wasn't. Now, if he doesn't let Capel go, then I'll jump in that boat with you.
I hear what you are saying but how many coaches with His track record have lived out their contracts. I am not big on letting a coach go mid season but I think this may be an exception. Let one of the assistants finish the season.
I do think this week will be a big one for Capel's immediate future. If we go 0 for the week, one has to wonder if he survives.
Speaking of a big week for Capel--his first game is
at Elon on Monday evening...that's Elon with an RPI of #100...weighing in at
*get this* 244 RPI ranking positions
better than ASU. That's simply surreal. We've never, ever been this hapless on paper. Never!
I've compared the rosters and earlier season schedules of both squads looking for a way for us to claw out an upset. I can't find it in the cards. Elon has too many big bodies and too many pure shooters for us to get a win in their *cracker box" with this team. Doesn't sound feasible.
I'm signing off with
Elon (RPI 100) at home against
ASU (RPI 344) still stuck in my craw. You can't make up scenarios like this.
Oh yea, we finish the week with UNC-G at home and Davidson away. Crowning the week of play looking for a win on Bob McKillop's back patio doesn't sound feasible, either.

I guess my glass is half empty and leaking.
