The N.C. State folks I've talked to are disappointed with their departure. They both would have been key contributors in Raleigh for the next two seasons. Certainly shooters are vital to a system like Fox's, but they most definitely would give a boost to a program like App State's. We'd be foolish not to kick those tires.

Caleb Martin made 79 threes this year, shooting 36%. I wouldn't say he can't shoot. Sounds like a good mid-major stretch 4 to me.
Cody Martin is not as good, but certainly as a rotation player would be an upgrade over the level of talent we've had in similar roles recently (and currently).

Rumor I've read is that they want to play more on the court together, rather than being subbed for one another as they often were at State. That might result in them going to a lower-level program than they otherwise might.
Now you guys have gone and gotten me intrigued...

As you stated, 36% isn't exactly terrible, but when you factor in his poor FT shooting and his turnover count, his transfer to our program doesn't do much for me. Still, he might be better than a JuCo we manage to recruit from Timbuctoo.
Taking the other brother is another net minus for me. I do, however, trust Coach Fox. His guys are my guys. I just hate waiting 'til mid to late May to get the verdict on next fall's class. He definitely has to bring in impact players who can start and produce from day 1. That's no easy task.
