I wonder if any of these have entered the portal? and are D1 talent players? There is a player from Coker who has size and was a big time scorer. I have to think there are some legit D1 caliber players who were overlooked out of high school due to the portal and COVID classes.

Hoping Kerns can find some more hidden gems like he did last spring.

I’m on the fence with the 2 that are unsigned. If they sign, we will have 8 scholarship guys that have never played college basketball, that is a lot in the portal age. We should probably honor the commitments as that’s a slippery slope but you build your roster year by year and things have changed since their commitments. Wonder why they haven’t signed yet? Take those 2 and only have 3 left, or have 5 scholarships open to find more college ready guys? Tough decisions.

Yah Huntley would def be a starter next season and his ceiling could absolutely be all-sun belt. He actually had his best KenPom offensive season to date (only a hair behind Spillers) albeit on lower overall usage. I think he might actually be even more efficient if his minutes returned to something more similar to the prior season with the extra shots giving him a bit more time to find his rhythm.

Huntley needs a bigger bodied big to allow him to play the stretch 4.
