Offense is incredibly rough, but there is absolutely NO excuse for allowing Troy to go 3 straight possessions down the stretch with multiple offensive rebounds. They are burning clock, and we allow them to reset the shot clock with multiple offensive rebounds on at least 3 straight possessions. Inexcusable in my opinion.

Can we talk about how awful these announcers are?

GO APPS!!
The PBP guy is too cringeworthy to even mention.
Last night when one of them said it was a 2 score game with 12:00 left was bad. Then he called JF James and repeated Justin every chance he got after that to fix it. The whole coaches in tennis shoes in suits thing was also ridiculous given the fact that they are wearing sweat suits.

For many fans, any enthusiasm for this year's App team just died in Troy, Alabama tonight. If you're going to be owned by the last place team (at least they were prior to today), wow!

What a finish in the UL-Texas State game. TS up by with 3 seconds left. UL steals the inbounds pass under the basket and puts in the game winner.

The way this league is playing this year we aren't dead yet but we have to play much better on the road than what we did this weekend. I'm sure Ga State is looking for revenge in Atlanta, assuming we get to play.

First time watching us play this season. Was expecting more. A lot more. Season still not over but that did not look good at all.

Bad weekends happen....even to good teams. Much improved and much more room to improve!

Maybe there is still home court advantage without fans. Back breaking weekend. We are still another recruiting class and development year away from competing for a regular season title.

I’ll go ahead and say it. Defense is very very good! However, this may be the weakest offensive team I’ve ever seen.
We’ve had worse offensive teams, but yes we’re offensively challenged. I really don’t get all the folks on this board that can’t fathom when we lose a game. We’re climbing the stairs and improving....but we’re still short on talent.
You might be correct (worse offensive teams) but I’ve been suffering thru App basketball since 1968 so I’ve seen a lot of loses and from an offensive stand- point I cannot recall a poorer shooting team. We have talent; if we play like we did vs. Ga St. we are hard to beat and fun to watch. We go minutes without scoring in every game and when you struggle to score you have a hard time winning. But Now that I think about it, some of those Maravich teams in the early 70’s might have been worse. The point is, if you cannot score you cannot win. So, not to be just a complainer, my suggestions, to begin with, would be to run a little more and sit #1. As I write this we are tied. My prediction is: we loose this game when the next 2-4 minute drought shows up.
I’ve only been on this ride since 1985 so I’ll defer to you on this😂.

No Parker tonight.
Why?
Injured shoulder.
Maybe this will help fix his jump shot :)

Maybe Troy is just our kryptonite, lucky for us we don’t have to play them again

If I recall correctly 2 or 3 years ago when we were bottom of the conference we swept Lala when they were near the top. The sun belt is competitive in hoops so it happens, hopefully we can bounce back next week

It's times like this I realize that if we're going to be a "one trick pony" (which we are), I'm happy it's football! In a nutshell that is. LOL

Funny you say that I was just thinking the same thing. It’s like back to reality and maybe a little knee jerk reaction to the previous success.

Watched most of game, we had 1 more fg then they did.. same made treys but 7 unmade free throws. Yes it was Troy but Troy wasn’t going to only win one game. They do have some weapons, particularly the big lefty with a pretty sweet stroke. I guess one comment I would make about this team is when you play hard D.... you almost always give some up on the offensive side... that can be ok if you get some easy buckets but if you don’t... then you press. I’d say you are never as good as you think you are and you are never as bad as you think you are. There is a lot of talent on our team compared to previous teams. I think (I know who am I) that Adrian Delph can be so explosive but if the coaches don’t get him involved early in the game, get him the ball in close where he can take advantage of his athleticism, he seems to get tentative. Instead of scoring 14-20 pts which he seems capable to do, he just dishes off and has a 7pt night. Just one example. Love the strong D. This can be a good team.
