MBB: GaSou iggles @ App State Mon, 7 PM HCC ESPN3
ASU's arch-enemy from Gnatsboro is in town for a Monday night game that will begin on a rather odd note. The Apps are coming off of a tremendous win over GA State; while the iggles will be nursing their egos after some rough treatment by Coastal Carolina in Conway on Saturday.
ASU leads the all-time series between the two institutions 25-22 but...Ga Sou has won the last five contests.
This iggle win-streak over the Apps needs to end.
Despite their loss in Conway, the iggles remain in a three-way tie for first place in the Fun Belt. Even so, they've been struggling of late and have not been strong performers on the road this season. That should give the resurgent Apps resolve to continue their recent strong play.
Ga Sou is a team of pure shooters. They lead the Fun Belt in games in which they scored at a 50% clip. They boast two halves in which they shot at a 60%+ clip. Defending the iggle guards and free-throws will likely tell the tale in this one.

If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

We are winning but that many turnovers in first half ? Watching it on espn 3 every time someone shoots the ball goes off the top of screen.. is that the Holmes center angle or my TV?

Game wasn't as close as the final score indicated. Hopefully the Apps can build some momentum over these next 5 games heading into the conference tournament.

Nice win! We'll probably play one of the next few teams again in four weeks followed by a few of the teams we've already beat. Not inconceivable we could still win the conference. Yah our record isn't great and we've struggled to finish game, but not as though anyone in the Sunbelt is running away with things. After tonight UTA should be back on top and we came damn close to beating them as well.

3 conference W's and all 3 against the current 1st place teams...
Started slow but after about 7 min into the game we really locked it up. Great W!

Kinney has really come into his own in the post. Great perimeter defense took their shooters out of the game.
(The student section taunting "Airball" on every Stink possession after an early miss didn't hurt, either )
Hopefully we can get a similar turnout for the Monroe and Cajun games weekend after next.

My personal favorite was the "ATL Blew a 25 Point Lead" sign.

I noticed that Kelvin Robinson was dressed for this game (although he did not play). I wonder if that's a sign of his impending return?
