Basketball reunion

We were in Boone for the annual men's basketball reunion and game vs. ULM. There were many of us there although not nearly enough from the 70's decade. There was myself, Sean Kilmartin, Darryl Robinson, and Charlie Barnes. It was good to see a lot of the older players who played for Coach Hoover and Coach Light. My athletic training mentor Ron Kanoy and wife Carolyn were there as well. I can't believe he's 73 years old but the hi-lite of our conversations was finding out that they've been married 51 years!

For those of us who are BBQ connoisseurs, I highly recommend BBQ, Burgers, and Brews on Hwy 105. It's beside the Enterprise Car rental place. The pulled pork is top-drawer; sauces optional. Our menu was pre-set so I can't give a scouting report on the slaw or hush puppies but the mac and cheese and the 'nanner puddin' was excellent!
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.
