Re: App vs ULL
Over our last 3 games we are 22 of 86 (26%) from behind the arc. On the other end, teams routinely shoot 50% from the floor against us. For things to turn around next year, we will have to find the find the basket more often and stop the other guys from finding it so easily. It would be nice to do some damage in the conference tourney to give some drive for the off season. Regardless, this off season will be the most critical for Coach Fox and staff. Youth and inexperience won't be a rationale next year. I'm hopeful that we will see a more consistent team take the floor in 2017-18.

Re: App vs ULL
While pulling for Coach Fox to turn this thing around in another year or two, I am finding it more difficult to remain optimistic by the day.
Re: App vs ULL
First let me say that I have had season Basketball tickets since Coach Fox got here. I live a little over 1 hour from Boone and in 3 years I have missed 3 home Basketball games. 2 of those were when I went to our Bowl Games so I really have missed 1 in 3 years. I like Coach Fox a lot and badly want our guys to win but at this point I am starting to feel a little like Bob Ueker sitting in the stands. I hope BIG TIME that we improve before next year but what I see each game makes it hard to see how this improvement will happen. We are getting beat every night off the dribble and teams are shooting lay up after lay up. Unless Iron Mike has a plan to make our guys a lot faster it will happen next year also and getting one 6' 9" recruit will not help slow foot speed. ULL was so much faster than us last night I could hear people around me saying it out loud and some of the people I heard probably do not know the difference between football and basketball. It was that obvious. I will continue to hope and be in my seat but we need to play a zone every now and then to try to hide our lack of foot speed, just a thought.

Re: App vs ULL
I sincerely believe Coach Fox needs to upgrade his staff. Unfortunately, I see it as being unlikely to happen. To that point, however, either someone is doing a poor job of teaching defensive technique and strategy, or the players are unable to execute or unwilling to put in the effort.
Offensively, our leading scorer shoots only 39% from the floor. We also have a guard who's started all 28 games, but has the worst shooting percentage in Fox's 10 man rotation (33%) and second highest turnover total in the rotation. There's the season in a nutshell!
It would not surprise me to see Zach Cottrell transfer. He's long since burned his redshirt and has little to show for 10 games/56 minutes. I can't see where he fits in next season other than becoming the "next" Matt O'Boyle. I doubt he relishes that role.
We're not a clear-cut candidate for the SBC Most Improved Award in '17-'18.

If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

Re: App vs ULL
I agree with most of what's been said here, but Louisiana looks like one of the top 2 teams in the conference to me, along with UT Arlington. I'm not talking about records, just the athletes, multiple double figure scorers, and the way they attack, etc. I've actually thought UTA was the best team in the conference (the exception being last year's Little Rock team), despite not making the NCAA tourney for 2 out of the 3 years we've been in the Sun Belt, with ULL normally looking pretty good as well.

Ugh...
We're pretty locked into this 11 seed, but it's anyone guess who the 6 seed is. Most likely Coastal or one of the Georgia teams.
Hopefully we can pull of a win next Wednesday and at least have some more basketball heading into the weekend
