Yet another exciting home game opponent that is a draw yet students are on break. In jest, I must ask - why do we even have "home" games? The way this seasons schedule is shaping up we might as well go for a NCAA record and play the entire season on the road! Seriously, what is the point of playing "home" games if classes are not in session? I get having 1 or 2 over the long Christmas break, but this is ridiculous.
The Davidson game was rescheduled so the team could participate in the tournament in PR.
Interesting. Wonder what factors went into that decision. I agree with AppDawg - that's the best home game we've had in a few years and we're wasting it in terms of bringing in new fans.

That may have been the only time to reschedule the game.

Agreed. Was more specifically talking about the Davidson game and to a further extent Georgia State and Georgia Southern. Out of all our home games this season, these are the 3 our fanbase is most familiar with and have the potential to draw a decent crowd, yet classes are out of session for all.

Dec 2, is our last Home Football game.

A FB/BB doubleheader would be a fun trip for us out-of-towners one of these years. I won't make the 12/2 game anyway, but if I were, I'd probably stick around for a BB game vs. Davidson. USF, well...

Georgia State cheers that the Boone contingent of App football fans may choose home basketball vs Davidson compared to the football game in Atlanta. Hopefully we will have different start times for those two events.

Is there a time for the 12/2 BB game?

Schedule is being announced soon, and that should have some tip times available. But, that all hinges on ESPN3 and when that last football game starts, which is usually at 2pm. The basketball game really can't start before 7pm.

That pretty much answers my question then. Wanted to know if we could do both.

Coach Fox teased some additional non-conference announcements on twitter today. Hopefully these don't already include San Juan tournament that most of us are aware of.

Speaking of San Juan, anyone here planning on going? I'm waiting for confirmation and tip-off times before seeing what travel looks like. Assuming tip-off times are like last year, it'd be difficult to make the morning games without coming in Wednesday. It'll be difficult to make the Sunday afternoon games as well (although if we're in the "championship" game, I think I can live with watching it at home on ESPN).

Iowa State lost 4 starters from last year. Could be a winnable game!
