Re: 17-18 team
I'll renew my yearly prediction that is always wrong.
We'll finish higher than where the rest of the Sun Belt thinks we'll finish.

Re: 17-18 team
I don't quite know why but I have a feeling that we will finish top 7 or 8. I rarely get good vibes re: App Basketball but dang it if I don't have one now. We will see.

Re: 17-18 team
I would love to see some type of marketing/promotion for the December 2nd games. Possibly similar to when I was in school, free admission to basketball with your football ticket. 1430 kick off so it is doable. Of course some will need to get off the mountain, others eat, and other drink, but it be a nice option to bring back. Just to possibly field some interest.

Re: 17-18 team
Other teams have good players too. Troy, for example, has 2 if the best players in the conference, but are near the bottom of the standings. If you pay attention to ncaa statistics ( I know they don’t paint the entire picture) Louisiana is the only clear favorite. Not only are they 5-0 in the belt, they are listed pretty high on several ncaa team stat categories. Honestly, us and Arlington and Ga Southern are the only other programs that I saw relatively high in several areas. We are still one of the highest scoring teams, pretty high in rebounding, and maybe one or two other areas are higher than we’ve been in a long time. Anything can happen in this conference. Troy is proof, after they finished seventh in the belt and won the tourney for an ncaa bid last year.
I believe that ULL and UTA have been the 2 highest ranked SB teams in NCAA for a couple years now, and neither have won the sunbelt tourney for a bid. The exception was Little Rock a couple years back when they dominated the league and won a game or 2 in the ncaa tourney. That coach (Chris Beard) now has one of the best teams in the country in his second year at Texas Tech.
