This is good news. I am really hoping they have turned the corner or at least have made a good hard turn in the right direction. I'm looking forward to heading up to catch a few games. They need support from the students, alum and other fans if they are ever going to really get going. We've been to games in the Holmes Center and I've never seen it with more than a few hundred fans in there. It's such a sweet facility to be so empty. Surely the University can do something to gin up more support from students; after all, they have already paid for their tickets.

This team has been very unpredictable, with the exception of losing on the road. It's a new year, and its time to get that first one. Go get'em Apps.

A road win on Cajun country could jump start the rest of the season.

Especially considering the terrain you have to traverse to get there. Also, have you ever tried flying into Lafayette? You have to drive down the mountain to the airport to catch a flight! And when you get back, you have to drive back up said mountain!

Since the weekend "dust" has settled, Ken Pomeroy has the Ragin' Cajuns ranked as the top team in the SBC at #94. The Apps trail at #218 in his rankings. RealTimeRPI.com predicts a 22 point win for the bad guys. Forgedaboud the u'dog stuff. It's time for the Apps to ambush a higher-ranked team on the road.

The Cajuns have plenty of height, beef and brawn...guys routinely weighing in at 250 to 275. It will be a physical game with a lot of fouls. We have to control the boards and take care of the ball better than we did on Sunday. Also gotta hit those FTs. Justin needs to handle the ball against the press. Hope we've worked on inbounds plays in prep for this contest!

As God is my witness I shall never complain about the video feed from App State. The quality is so bad right now I think my old TI-99 4/A had better graphics.

OK while I typed this the video did get a bit better, but the audio is still choppy.

Also we are down 5-3.

Mine is fine except the big heads in front of the camera at mid-court. "HEY, DOWN IN FRONT!!!"

Man what an ugly swamp scene on the floor of that basketball court. Go Apps. Use your strengths, play smart and avoid TOs.

The swamp scene on the floor is not nearly as ugly as the play on the floor. Painful 1st half to watch. Almost as many turnovers as points.

13 turnovers when I turned it off. UL is good but they don't need any help. Very disappointing showing.

Meanwhile, Saturday's opponent (ULM) is handling Coastal in similar fashion.
