and Fox has said from the beginning that his teams (like Davidson's) were predicated on being tough. For whatever reason, we haven't matched up well with ULL since we've joined the league. They are always big and physical. It seems that South Alabama always handles us as well, even if they aren't an upper-echelon SB team.WataugaMan wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2018 1:32 pmApp State coach Jim Fox said on Appalachian State IMG radio. “We have to be tougher. Louisiana, they came out there and they were the bully on the block and we were the little wimp tonight and it clearly showed.”
Did he say little wimp?

I'd be fine if Fox never mentioned Davidson while App State's coach ever again. I'd like for him to go one Mountaineer Talk without doing it. I don't think he understands that most of his fond Davidson memories were painful ones for App State.

I would be more than impressed if we can manage a road win over ULM. We have looked awful on the road. Would be great to get a win Saturday...we need some kind of confidence on the road. Still 2-1 Sunbelt...sky hasn't fallen yet

IS TODAY THE DAY?
It has been 409 days since App MBB's last road win. Does the Lord shine his light upon the road Apps today? Or will Fox fall into a swamp and get eaten by a gator?

25% chance of the former; 75% chance of the latter. Will happily grill and eat a large black crow if I could somehow be wrong.

Talk about an empty arena. There might be 8 or 10 people in view from the cameras perspective. What in the world else is there to do in Monroe, LA?

Free throws will be crucial throughout the sunbelt stretch. We need to improve on the last place stat in conference and we can continue to win games. It appears to be anyone’s conference title for the taking his year, unless LaLa continues to dominate. Nice to see 53% from field and 54% from 3 today, although we did get outrebounded again.

OK, I drowned that black sucker in BBQ sauce and red pepper and got it down somehow. Quoth the raven...
Nice win, Apps! It was worth my sacrifice!

When you don’t have memories of your current program that’s what you do, hopefully he finally makes some here this year.

Re: Apps Seek 1st Road Win
I know this is a joke, but it honestly wouldn't cost much more than $30 at Mountaineer Talk.
The Tuesday special is $2 Coors Light and there are rarely more than 15-20 people in attendance every week, including children of AD personnel.
