App vs UALR

Unread post by agentpaul001 » Thu Jan 25, 2018 8:18 pm

ESPN3 feed is great, game not so much...

Down six at halftime. Our starters shot 25% in first half... We're not going to win games if we can't pick up the pace. O'Showen Williams consistently comes to play. I'd love to see us try something new with the lineup.

Maybe something ridiculous like moving Tyrell Johnson to the 5, rotating in O'Showen Williams, and playing a little smaller. Whatever we're doing now just isn't working. I like Kinney and think there is a lineup that will work with him, but our current starting lineup just isn't cutting it.

Whew. It's a W, even if it's an ugly home OT win against a 5-15 team. Let's hit double digit wins on Saturday.

That was a must win. Trailed for most of the game, clawed their way back in and hit their FTs down the stretch. Not pretty but it is a win.

Back up to 4-5 in conference and a must win Saturday. I really think Saturday is huge for the near future of this team. Win Saturday and you're back to 5-5 with some momentum going into February. Win Saturday and we have a realistic chance to finish .500 in the conference. A 9-9 conference mark and Fox gets another year no debate at all. But if we lose Saturday at home to the worst team in the conference I could see the last month of the season being a disaster.

So sitting at 6th place in conference right now. I'm really hoping we can gun for that third seed :p

Note: We just matched our conference and season wins total for last season lol. It's still possible to have a winning conference record this season, hope we can do it!

What is W-L record this year when winning at half versus being behind at half?

I digress....Shabazz is in a huge slump and its because hes worn out from trying to score and play point. Coach needs to make some adjustment here if we want to have any shot at a 500 season or conference draw....

Over our last 5 game stretch, he is shooting 25% from the field, including 27% from three. During that same time, he is shooting 74% from the line.

2-13 from the field. 0-4 from 3. 6-9 from the line. That is a bad line....

Jake Wilson had a mean couple of minutes last night. Both him and Craig had some huge blocks.

O continues to play the hardest.

I have to agree. On the upside we made free throws and that won the game, had we done that earlier we might have 3 or 4 more wins.Perhaps , only perhaps , we've learned a lesson about how important that aspect of the game is and are emphasizing it in practice.
