Just had an ad pop up on Facebook announcing the 2018 Charleston classic field at TD Arena in November 2018. Featured teams are Wichita State, Alabama, Purdue, Davidson, Virginia Tech, and Ball State. Should be a great time!

Well that is a fly in the ointment for those of us that live in Charleston and go to all of the football games.

If I may: I think the Fox will be fine and so will basketball. He's working hard in my opinion to get good players and quality young men. Capel was a cluster from the start and and the Devonte Graham fiasco was an equal cluster. Working....turned out to be as useless as a hog in Sunday School; he could screw up a 2-car parade. Coach Maravich doesn't deserve this "honor." He came to Boone after the move to NCAA from NAIA, was late in his career and life. Unfortunately the name and reputation didn't help as much as thought. Then his last season his wife committed suicide and that broke the man.

Thank you, Scatman. I was about to say....No way that Fox and Maravich belong in that conversation (for very different reasons).

That's the way I recall it, too, scat. In addition, she was a closet alcoholic with other health problems.
Working was still a kid himself when he got here. Tried to fit in rather than lead. He was hired on his misleading resume.

Tickets go on sale in July. I'm going to plan on hopefully making a trip down for a game or two.

Really strong field with a ton of potential. I'd expect ESPN to give pretty good coverage to several of these games.

Does "the teams we are playing are better than us" count as an excuse?

We certainly look to be ,going in , the lowest ranked team in the field but I am expecting to see what I have been sold , major improvement. In these matchups it may not result in wins , in most of the others throughout the season it should. No excuses.

Hope to see a really competitive squad. No reason we can't come away with a couple wins particularly with a Davidson redux.
