A mixed bag , but guessing they have to try something in an effort to move forward .I don’t see it changing the number of bids to the NCAA tournament.

I wonder with the scheduling requirements, will the Sun Belt assist in scheduling? When you're as low as we've been lately, we're not exactly an attractive opponent to schedule home and home.

T-Dog Can you point out the "non-conference scheduling standard" in the press release? I see the non conference scheduling alliance but can't find a goal for the strength or level of non conference opponents.

Benson mentioned on a Jonesboro radio station that he prefers the conference not play any non-D1 games.

Seems there is a hypothetical, but one that will eventually occur given enough years, scenario that the #4 wins the regular season title. They would still be the #4 in tourney, but regular season champ is decided by all 20 games record. #1, 2, 3 & are 12-4, 12-4, 11-5, 11-5 or even all tied through 16 games and the #4 goes 4-0 in pod play while the others beat up on each other. #4 winds up 15-5 while everyone else is behind or lost head to head to the #4 in original 16 games.

It is a nice strength of schedule boost if you win, much like P-5 programs that schedule tough OOC games versus those that schedule cupcakes. Is a good loss better than a bad win?
