Stadium looks and sounds like Purdue South right now
90% Purdue, 8% App, 2% other teams at the moment. Got to hand it to Purdue, they brought fans. Guess that’s what happens when you’re a basketball school though.

How many guys are going to just dribble and lose the ball? Can’t keep turning the ball over like that

Watauga plays Ashebrook tomorrow night in the first round of the playoffs, looking forward to it.

My flight to Charleston has several Purdue fans. I’m impressed.
Went to dinner in downtown Charleston last night and saw several Purdue fans as well as Wichita State fans.
Where did you go to eat?
Are there any good BBQ joints in Charleston?

Lewis BBQ, best I’ve ever had, and yes, I’m from NC (vinegar for me)
Swig & Swine, great fried pork skins with pimento cheese

Down 14 at the break. Could be worse.

Gylfason hits 2 threes, we get the deficit to 11, then our best player tries to force it again and turns the ball over with 17 seconds left, when we could have cut it to single digits before the half, therefore the momentum swings the other way. I’d love to see us start getting on the positive end of these swings. That starts with mental toughness and situational awareness.

For a veteran squad we continue to commit the same errors time and again. This a very solid Purdue team but we don't look like we belong on the same floor with them. It's way too early in the season to make a judgment about the season to come but I thought I would see better than I have thus far against D1 competition.

I watched warm ups and noticed we missed about 80% of our shots while Purdue made 80% of theirs. Just wondering if this has been a trend over the past few years.

I remember previous teams (dare I say the name, rhymes with fuzz) and it was the opposite (made the majority of the shots). We aren’t taking anywhere close to high % ones tonight in the game so I guess it doesn’t matter too much.

Man we don’t look good....

Fox built a shooter team, schematically, and it’s just brick city out there. Hard to watch.

We won't play Purdue every night but it's hard to see how this team is much different than previous editions. We have little inside scoring.

I know this is very obvious but watching Davidson play Wichita makes me realize how much our offense mirrors Davidson.

I have to agree with these assessments. We make poor decision after poor decision , or at least the wrong decision at the wrong time, and we’ve been doing it consistently over the past several seasons. I see athletic ability but I haven’t seen smart basketball in Boone in a loooong time .My guess is if we possess overwhelming firepower against our opponent , or they really stink it up ala Davidson last year , we are ok.Other than that we are in trouble. Purdue is good,Alabama who knows, and we are 0-2,as we should be. Maybe something will click and we will turn it around , I just don’t see any reason to rationally believe that it will.
