The Apps at 5-8 face the USA Jags at 7-5 for a positive start in the 2018-19 Sun Belt season. These are presently teams headed in opposite directions.

USA, under the leadership of new head coach Richie Riley, opened the season with a 43 point drubbing at Auburn but slowly feasted on cupcakes, built their confidence and now own wins over Chattanooga and Tulane and nearly upset a strong Richmond team on Saturday evening.

The Apps on the other hand, have struggled mightily against everyone with a D-I pedigree and completely collapsed in a Sunday afternoon game at St.Louis.

Unless the Apps have had a complete makeover in the last four days, this one could get ugly. The Jags have found their game; the Apps not so much.
