MBB: Apps v. TSU
Can the Apps make it four in a row when they travel to the Tejas hill country to take on the Bobcats of TSU? Only time will tell.

Re: MBB: Apps v. TSU
Uh. Not if we have 5 minute scoring droughts and rain airballs from 3 point land. And only have ONE PLAYER SCORE IN THE FIRST 9 MINUTES. Why would Texas state want to play any defense against a team that throws up air balls continuously? Hope we shake it off!

Wow so we're shooting with the lights out instead of shooting the lights out...

Some key hustle plays and good shooting to stay in this. Sans turnovers we might well be up a bit. Our defense looks fine, just gotta rebound a little better and limit the TOS. We’re making the extra pass on a lot of our offensive sets and it shows.

Except in the last minute. Shabazz...dribble...dribble...doink. Twice.agentpaul001 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 8:48 pmSome key hustle plays and good shooting to stay in this. Admittedly, he has been hot this half, but it’s because of the extra pass, not the predictable offense we’ve seen so many times this year.

Man, Ronshad has absolutely given his all and more for this program yet some of y'all honestly still talk like he's holding us back. For four years he's worked harder than anyone else on this team and has literally carried us to wins on multiple occasions. When we were 0-6 in the conference he easily could have quit and just gone through the motions the rest of the season, but clearly he did not do that. He's still playing with passion and is keeping us in this game tonight.
Please, show some respect. Damn good Mountaineer.

I get that. What I was saying is that in the last minute the offensive scheme changed to one player dribbling out the shot clock and taking a step back with a hand in his face. It was predictable.diehardapp18 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 9:19 pmMan, Ronshad has absolutely given his all and more for this program yet some of y'all honestly still talk like he's holding us back. Down 72-68 with a minute to go. Three Bobcats with four fouls. If we could send this to OT...

And it's another moral victory for the Apps in the Hill Country of Tejas.

Lost 74-71. Battled to the end and Forest had a shot at a tying three pointer that went off the back of the rim. Played hard especially down the stretch.

Just took the best team in the conference to the final play on the road.
5 of the last 8 at home.

And you are correct. Ron does not perform in this situation. It’s not a slight on Ron but a questionable decision by Coach.AppinVA wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 9:38 pmI get that. Exactly. The first time, they had come out of the use it or lose it time out, so I have to think it was discussed in the huddle.Rekdiver wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 10:56 pmAnd you are correct. Re: MBB: Apps v. TSU
There's a logjam at the top. We play Arlington next who's tied with Texas State and Georgia State for first. Not sure the Bobcats are the best but it doesn't get any easier. With the loss we drop back into a three way tie for last with Troy and LR.

Re: MBB: Apps v. TSU
Strange how the Sun Belt works out its basketball schedules. We play the four teams farthest away from Boone (TSU, UTA, ULM, ULaLa) twice yet two of the three teams closest to Boone (GaSt, Stink) we only play once.
