WBB: Apps 70, Ga Sou 52

STATESBORO - Appalachian State used a 13-2 second-quarter run to pick up a 70-52 Sun Belt Conference women's basketball victory over host Georgia Southern on Saturday afternoon at Hanner Fieldhouse.

The Mountaineers (13-12, 7-7 SBC) handed the Eagles (7-19, 2-13 SBC) their fifth straight loss and also a setback in their final home game of the 2018-19 season.

This was the second straight game the Apps have played w/o scoring and assist leader Madi Story. Troubling thought with the tourney coming within sight.

Nice to see some good news.

Not only can they finish with a winning over all record but also a Sun Belt winning record. What a nice turn around and good story!

The ladies played without Madi Story this weekend due to injury.

Need to sweep next weekend as we're in 8th now.
