He really hasn’t done anything to improve that program during his tenure there. They were decent his first couple years but have regressed in the last year or two even more. I know the ACC is tough, but not someone I would want to be at App.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2019 10:05 amAre we hiring Manning? I hear he'll be unemployed soon, if he isn't already.

Hire Manning and he can bring in Sidney Lowe and Seth Greenberg as his assistants.

I say we get Gottfried so he can pay future NBA talent to come here and still finish last in the conference.

We did save about $30k by not traveling to the SBC tournament, makes the buyout easier.

LOL....our basketball program a common topic of conversation?
I don't think the community service coached league would have any interest.

Not saying he's a prime candidate at App but he's fared pretty well at smaller schools...Brad Brownell might not have a job at Clemson after blowing a 16 point halftime lead to NC State.

He’s 65 and his winning % at WMU wasn’t much better than Fox’s here. NextAppinVA wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2019 6:45 pmThis is who I want. I thought William and Mary was supposed to be smart.

On the surface, yes, but that’s by far the best mark in the history of William and Mary. The academic requirements there are unreal.diehardapp18 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2019 7:03 pmHe’s 65 and his winning % at WMU wasn’t much better than Fox’s here. His H-SC teams were outstanding. He could reunite with Seecat.AppinVA wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2019 6:45 pmThis is who I want. I thought William and Mary was supposed to be smart.

A few weeks ago I mentioned that I thought we had more of a system when Fox first arrived. These highlights are indicative of that. I’m not really sure what happened, but this seemingly much less talented team seemed to play hard and with purpose.

I imagine there will be a line there with much deeper pockets than ours in that scenario

Other than the fact we won that game, how does a highlight reel of VA tech scoring indicate that?

Unless you looked at a different video then I did, it was a highlight of our scoring.

My fault. Guess that’s why you shouldn’t watch videos in the dark at 0230. To me, the Black looked like maroon , and I assumed we where in white.
It looked like a highlight reel of tech.

I don’t understand why we quit running set plays and tried to create off motion. We aren’t exactly Duke

The enthusiasm, defensive intensity, hard cuts to the basket, etc are what I’m referring to, and that was one Fox’s first games at App, and he started at least 2 walk-ons and played a few others decent minutes (spagnolo, Clarke, goesling (who’s now at Houston)). These are App highlights of course, created by our former DBO Brian Bender, but the first few teams seemed to have more buy in for some reason. The Rock wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 5:00 amMy fault.
