There's a great place called Geno's off of 105 too if you want some cheap beers away from campus a bit.

Who are we kidding? UNC-Harrisburg fans are all about the chains. I’m sure there’s an Applebee’s somewhere down Blowing Rock Rd.

Sorry y’all can’t take a little joke! I always gave my App friends a hard time about the lack of diversity up there. When I saw the whiteout it made me chuckle - like a whiteout isn’t just a normal day up there.

As for the game - looking forward to coming up. Our talent level has increased greatly this year and coaching looks to be settled finally. Looks like App is a bit better this year than previous years. Putting up 13 in a second half against UNCG gives me the impression our D, which is better than UNCG, should frustrate you and yield a 10-12 point win. Our style of play means big winning margins are unlikely. With wins over Davidson (good) and Wake (not as good), team should have some confidence.

With that said we have an extremely young team that lost our only road game this season so certainly this could be a game we drop and I am sure your new coach would love to give us an L. We’ve taken better teams up there and managed to lose. Overall series is 24-13 Charlotte and riding a 4 game winning streak currently. I’m honestly amazed at the winning streak since Alan Major and Mark Price we’re legit terrible coaches. We are 16-4 vs App at home but 8-9 at App.

As for football - none of you have any idea what it is like fighting for a team to just be born and then supporting a program seven years into its existence. The majority of your fans know App as only a winner - how hard is that? Even given all the winning as recently as 2003 you averaged fewer than 13k fans. And you had been playing football for decades! For us to be in bowl contention with a new coach has us really happy. Take shots at that if you want, but regardless of who we have played and beat, that’s a huge step in the right direction for a very young program. Based on the fact none of you were around for Apps 7th season I will happily ignore any opinions y’all have on that.

Looking forward to the game this evening. What kind of attendance do you guys expect tonight?

We are very much encouraged by our new basketball coach, but know that it will take time to get where we are going. Meanwhile, we are enjoying a historic football era, the likes of which no one from UNCC can comprehend. Beating both UNC and SC in the same season is fun, but for a team that was FCS only 6 years ago to already possess multiple conference championships, a 4-0 Bowl record, and be ranked among the top 25 teams in the nation (P5 and G5) is astounding. No disrespect intended, but your team's improvement has been far from meteoric, and it should be a little embarrassing to keep pretending you are a brand new program. Considering that over half your wins are against Gardner Webb, UMass, and UTEP, and you have no wins against a team with a winning record, you are still not exactly setting the world on fire. Nonetheless, enjoy your time in a real college town.

I agree, but hit up Cottonwood first and grab a pitcher of Low Down Brown for some liquid courage.

This time of year the Pumpkin Spice would be the better choice. Only one pint cause it is thicc.

By far the best one ever made, all of them now are higher gravity and sacrificed thickness and flavor.

Agree and they don't make with real pumpkin anymore because there aren't enough pumpkins for mass production of the beer. Most of them now have a chemically taste to them.

After all that Cottonwood, hit Caribbean Cafe for some wings, and then maybe go grab some more brews at The Library (though that place will always be the Old Pizza Hut to me, at least as long as the building is standing. Which I assume will be forever).

Could always go up to Antlers, flush and race the water back down the mountain.
