Could always go up to Antlers, flush and race the water back down the mountain.
Thursday night. Should be "Drink and Drown" for $3.00.

Sorry NWA, looks like it’ll be you and a few alumni at the game tonight on the UNCC side( although how is this any different than a football or home b-ball game for you?) UNCC students looking to miss Friday traffic and get the weekend started early:

Reminds me of the Rafter's "Drink til you drown" $5 all you want southpaw. Carried too many kegs up those stairs.

Based on the fact none of you were around for Apps 7th season I will happily ignore any opinions y’all have on that.
And we'll happily ignore the whiner's built in excuses. Your fanboys were all to happy to tell us of App's demise once your program started so keep the birthdays to yourself, no one else is counting. Plus I know 7 year olds who can run circles around 90 year olds, what's Norm's problem? Funny how some hillbilly fan sitting in his outhouse cat-fishing with 56Kbps dial up internet connected to his Tandy 1000 did more for your athletic department than all your fans combined.

As for attendance, let's put context to it. You bring up 2003 and averaging less than 13k which was roughly App's enrollment at that time playing in the FCS Socon. You guys boast the 3rd highest enrollment (29k) in the state in a city of 1m residents and were gift wrapped a FBS CUSA invite with zero football merit to back up the invitation (this is where you'll tell us how UNC-C was in CUSA 1.0 and made the Final 4 back in the 70's and some other BS that has nothing to do with football, which as we all know is what drives the athletic bus).

Where's all the 49er "potential" we've been hearing about for the past decade?

We gave y’all more of a game than expected in football so maybe y’all can give us a game here. After beating more talented teams in Davidson and Wake we are feeling good...
Morale victories against App? That must be tough!

Somebody needs to call in a welfare check on NWA if the Apps get this win tonight. At least put a hold on his gun purchases...

Not to feed into CLT's ego, but I am a bit surprised that we're favored in this one by 4 points.

I’m rolling up to Boone. Looking forward to it. We gave y’all more of a game than expected in football so maybe y’all can give us a game here. After beating more talented teams in Davidson and Wake we are feeling good but we have a young team and going on the road into a fairly stale environment so we shall see. Still trying to decide where to pregame. Wife grew up in Boone and made some suggestions, but would welcome any suggestions from y’all.

Saw it’s a whiteout for y’all. Does that mean shirts or is that referring to your 84% white student body? Why are y’all scared of diversity?

Enjoy the drive home.

It’s going to be pretty damn difficult for them to be condescending after tonight. I look forward to seeing what they come up with.

TFW you go to another team’s message board to troll before you play in the sport you imagine you’re good at, and they beat you soundly without even playing that well.

They're going to pivot to baseball, or maybe field hockey next.

Sorry y’all can’t take a little joke! I always gave my App friends a hard time about the lack of diversity up there. When I saw the whiteout it made me chuckle - like a whiteout isn’t just a normal day up there.

As for the game - looking forward to coming up. Our talent level has increased greatly this year and coaching looks to be settled finally. Looks like App is a bit better this year than previous years. Putting up 13 in a second half against UNCG gives me the impression our D, which is better than UNCG, should frustrate you and yield a 10-12 point win. Our style of play means big winning margins are unlikely. With wins over Davidson (good) and Wake (not as good), team should have some confidence.

With that said we have an extremely young team that lost our only road game this season so certainly this could be a game we drop and I am sure your new coach would love to give us an L. We’ve taken better teams up there and managed to lose. Overall series is 24-13 Charlotte and riding a 4 game winning streak currently. I’m honestly amazed at the winning streak since Alan Major and Mark Price we’re legit terrible coaches. We are 16-4 vs App at home but 8-9 at App.

As for football - none of you have any idea what it is like fighting for a team to just be born and then supporting a program seven years into its existence. The majority of your fans know App as only a winner - how hard is that? Even given all the winning as recently as 2003 you averaged fewer than 13k fans. And you had been playing football for decades! For us to be in bowl contention with a new coach has us really happy. Take shots at that if you want, but regardless of who we have played and beat, that’s a huge step in the right direction for a very young program. Based on the fact none of you were around for Apps 7th season I will happily ignore any opinions y’all have on that.

Looking forward to the game this evening. What kind of attendance do you guys expect tonight?
Sup lil bro

Ok, that's pretty funny. Seems like this has the potential for a rivalry (like the WCU rivalry when we were SoCon, but a rivalry nonetheless).

Where did the name 49ers even come from? Did I miss a gold rush in Charlotte or something?
