The #106 Apps take to the road for their last OOC contest of the season at #35 NC State Sunday afternoon. The Apps are 8-4 on the young season; the 'Pack are 9-3. The home court; a shooting percentage of 47% from the floor; a stingy defense; a guy named Markell Johnson; and history make the 'Pack a stout challenge for the Apps.

State has won 37 of its last 38 non-conference games at PNC Arena including 16 in a row. No team has held State to fewer than 70 points so far this season. They average almost 82 ppg. Nevertheless, it's time for that 16 game 'Pack streak to end. Go Apps!!!

On Thursday evening the Apps begin a three game Sun Belt home stand with Georgia State, Stink and the La Cajuns headed for The High Country. It'll be statement time if our guys are to make a serious run! Gotta defend the home court!

We match-up well these guys physically, let’s just hope we can limit the perimeter shots. State can fill it up beyond the arc.

I have a feeling the home-court advantage could be lacking today with students out on break. Plus App Nation should be out in droves! What else do you have to do today? Watch the Panthers get throttled?

App getting 13.5, I’m. OT expecting a win, but hoping we play tough defense to stay in it down the stretch. I also expect them to rotate help to shut down Forrest.

Score comparisons mean just about zilch, but if El Cid (6-6) stayed within 20 at PNCA a week or so ago, I'd like to believe we'd keep it within five-to-seven with chances to win at the end.

Dugger Baucom's teams always shoots the trey very, very well; but our Apps are yo-yo shooters. One never quite knows what to expect from them. We'll know about today shortly. Tip-off is just 20 minutes way.
