I just saw on a goasu.com post to my phone that our ladies will be facing UTC for the final home game. Get this: admission is free.
I'm not sure if this would be the case for Lady App Basketball but I know that here in York once we started charging for admission to ALL events our attendance actually increased. My feeling was that we had something worth paying for. The Lady Apps fit that bill with their record. If nothing else wouldn't charging admission at least HELP pay the officials?

May be just a one game deal. We've had 4 home doubleheaders in last month, all of which the women played first. Saturday, the men play at 2pm and womens game then after. Hopefully by doing this, along with it being senior day, the ladies will have their largest attendance of the year.

BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State University men's and women's basketball will play host to Southern Conference rival Chattanooga on Saturday afternoon at the Holmes Center in the final basketball doubleheader of the season.
Both Mountaineer basketball squads will enter the weekend locked in intense battles for a possible first-round bye in next weeks SoCon Tournament in Asheville.
Saturday's games will be designated as "Black Out" games and all fans are being asked to wear black Appalachian State apparel to the game. Students who arrive early for the men's game at 2 p.m. will receive special "Black Out" shirts in Section 3 of the Holmes Center.
In addition, tickets to Saturday's contests are just $5 for all App State faculty and staff as part of Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day.
The doubleheader will also serve as Senior Day for both teams. The men will recognize seniors Nathan Healy and Jamaal Trice prior to their final home contest while Anna Freeman, Courtney Freeman, Raven Gary and Kelsey Sharkey will be honored for their contributions on the women's side.
Tickets to Saturday's doubleheader and all remaining home basketball games can be purchased HERE or by calling the Appalachian State Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-919-2777.
That's what I do. I gripe and I know things.

Scat, in my opinion it is not Free...as student fees support all sports, season ticket holders bought them with the "understanding" that the men's games were free as the women's games were first and would be more entertaining!
The women's game being free tomorrow is a reward for having to pay to watch the guys!
