Part of it is is cultural. Fox didn't fit with the university or culture that tends to bear fruit within App athletics.

I really like the change in structure this year. It's far easier to dive to an on-campus game / makes it worthwhile to travel to NOLA if it's already the semis and on a Saturday.

The "Fox fixed the APR" thing is overblown. Capel and to a lesser degree Buzz got App into the APR hole, but the numbers had already turned around in Capel's last two years. It's just that the APR threshold for postseason ban went from 900 to 930 in Fox's first year and in the formula, we had lost all of the great numbers from Fancher's time that year.

Fox did keep up the really good APR scored during his time (and complained that it limited his recruiting), but the controls were already in place for two years. The numbers are a year behind when released so when we got off probation, those numbers were all Capel years.

The best thing we can do is attend remaining games and give to Yosef Club so we can get a couple more scholarships for Men’s Basketball.

We had 1,900 for ECU...2,200 for Charlotte...2,100 fans showed up for Texas State.

I'd love to see a game top 3,000 attendance before the season's out.

Say what? Of course, we need a sustained surge in contributions to the Yosef Club. I'm in total agreement with you there. I dunno where you got the impression that MBB is limited to eleven full scholarships. The team is limited only by the NCAA to 13 full grants. We have just eleven scholarship players on the roster now due to unusual circumstances.

Coach Kerns chose to play this season with 12 because he couldn't find a big man or a pure shooter when he took the reins late in the recruiting season. So he chose to play down one scholarship player in '19-'20 and carry an extra one over to '20-'21. Then, on the first day of fall practice, he announced that 6-9 Breki Glyfason had chosen to relinquish his scholarship, leave school and return home to Iceland. That left the current roster down two scholarships to 11.

Soooooooo, looking forward, DK is carrying two grants forward plus he's losing I.Johnson. H.Seacat and O.Williams. He's signed 6-5 Eads from Orlando Edgewater and 6-10 Huntley from Davidson Day. He can sign as many as three additional players for next season if he can fill his needs to run his system. He has a dozen or so offers "out there." The signing period is April 15 to May 20. Hang on for the ride!
If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!
