I do wish they had their names on the jerseys -

I wish no jerseys had names on them, the name on the front is all that matters when you're a team.

But it sure helps me figure out who everyone is. My eyes are better than my memory

I agree, and I'm not going to sit with a roster checking numbers to see who the players are. So, it's always difficult for me to learn the players. Also, and I'm just speculating here, but I'd think the players and potential recruits would like seeing their names on their jerseys.
I believe most major programs have the players' names. Just my opinion but I can't believe it's that big of a contributor to building the "team" concept but this is just my opinion..

The lack of names on the back of the jerseys could be a motivational tactic. The players have to earn the right to have the nameplates. Just a thought.
